Perillo Taurasi 2013 is a powerful expression of Aglianico from one of Campania’s most celebrated appellations. Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Taurasi typically shows a deep ruby color that may be edging toward garnet with age. The nose is layered and serious, often opening with dark cherry, blackberry, dried herbs, licorice, tobacco, and earthy mineral notes, with time revealing leather, spice, and hints of balsamic complexity. On the palate, it is firm and structured, with vibrant acidity and gripping tannins that give the wine both freshness and authority. The fruit remains dark and concentrated, balanced by savory undertones and a long, persistent finish. This is a wine built for patience and can continue to evolve gracefully over many years.

Viininvalmistus
Taurasi is produced in the volcanic hills of Campania, where Aglianico thrives in soils that lend the wine its signature intensity, minerality, and age-worthy structure. Harvesting is typically done by hand to ensure only healthy, fully ripe grapes are selected, and vinification is carried out with care to preserve the grape’s natural power and complexity, often followed by extended maturation in oak and bottle.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with rich, savory dishes such as braised beef, game, roast lamb, wild boar, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses. Serve it at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting for at least one to two hours, especially if the bottle has been resting for some time, to allow the aromas and tannins to open fully.
