Prinz Salm Victoria's Chardonnay V 2023 is a rare and refined expression of Chardonnay from Germany’s Nahe region, where cool-climate precision meets a more international style. Named after Victoria zu Salm-Salm, it reflects the estate’s blend of modern elegance, terroir-driven character, and understated depth.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a poised, luminous profile with a polished, finely textured character. The nose brings ripe citrus, stone fruit, salted butter, and a gentle hint of toasted nuts, all lifted by a cool mineral edge. On the palate, it is tense yet beautifully rounded, with chalky minerality, vivid fruit, and a dry, focused finish. The structure is refined and quietly powerful, suggesting good aging potential over the next few years as the wine gains further complexity.

Viininvalmistus
The Chardonnay comes from a single vineyard site in Binger Scharlachberg, where red slate and quartz soils shape a wine of precision and mineral drive. The grapes are harvested from this distinctive terroir and vinified with spontaneous fermentation, partial malolactic conversion, and maturation in used barriques for up to 10 months, allowing texture and nuance to develop without overpowering the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs well with roasted poultry, lobster, seared scallops, creamy risotto, and dishes with buttered or lightly nutty sauces. Serve it at around 10–12°C to preserve its freshness and structure; decanting is not usually necessary, though a short aeration can help if enjoyed young.
