R. López de Heredia Viña Bosconia Tinto Gran Reserva 2001 is a classic Rioja from one of Spain’s most respected traditional producers. Built on a blend dominated by Tempranillo, with Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano adding depth and structure, it is a wine that reflects patience, craftsmanship and the long aging style that made Rioja famous.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Gran Reserva shows a beautiful ruby-red color, a sign of its maturity and graceful evolution. The nose is persistent and layered, with complex tertiary aromas that speak to its long time in barrel and bottle. On the palate, it is round, smooth and elegant, with a refined texture and a very long, lingering finish. This is a wine made for slow appreciation, and it has the structure to continue developing further complexity over time. Its combination of freshness, finesse and evolved character makes it especially appealing for lovers of mature Rioja in a traditional style.

Viininvalmistus
Viña Bosconia is sourced from Rioja terroir shaped by a temperate climate and soils well suited to long-lived reds. The wine is crafted from a classic blend led by Tempranillo, with Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano adding nuance and backbone. After fermentation, it is aged for around 10 years in oak barrels, then held in bottle for additional years before release, following López de Heredia’s famously patient and traditional vinification approach.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Gran Reserva pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, game, slow-cooked beef, mushroom dishes and aged Manchego. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes to let the aromatics fully open, especially if the bottle has been resting for a long time.
