R. Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Reserva shows a graceful, mature profile with bright red-fruit character framed by its extended ageing. The nose unfolds with ultra-clean aromas of red berries, damp autumn forest floor, moss, mushrooms, and a delicate hint of cigar box from the oak. The palate is creamy and composed, with fresh red fruit at the core and layered savoury notes that add depth and intrigue. Rather than making a loud first impression, it rewards quiet attention and time in the glass, and the magnum format gives it strong aging potential for further development over the years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Viña Tondonia, López de Heredia’s flagship vineyard in Rioja, a historic site known for producing wines of finesse and longevity. Harvesting is carried out with care from selected vineyard parcels, and the wine is vinified in the producer’s traditional style before spending around six years in barrel and nearly as long in bottle prior to release, far exceeding standard Reserva requirements.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, mushroom-based dishes, cured meats, game, and slow-cooked beef, as well as aged Manchego or other firm, savoury cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant gently if needed to remove sediment; for older bottles, a short decant is preferable to preserve the wine’s nuanced aromas.
