Now beginning to reveal a touch of bottle age, it combines clarity, depth, and tension in a way that feels both composed and unmistakably Chablis.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this 2016 Butteaux shows a bright, pale-golden hue that hints at its evolution. The nose is lifted and nuanced, with citrus, pear, and white flowers layered over subtle notes of beeswax, green herbs, and a pronounced chalky, saline minerality. On the palate, the wine is silky yet firmly structured, with a fresh, linear acidity and a medium-bodied profile that feels precise rather than heavy. The finish is long, focused, and distinctly mineral, and while it is already drinking well, its structure suggests another 5–10 years of graceful development ahead.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a superb partner for shellfish, oysters, grilled fish, scallops, lobster, and refined poultry dishes with butter or cream-based sauces. Serve chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider decanting to allow the aromatics and texture to open fully.
