Raveneau Chablis 2015

Raveneau Chablis 2015 is a benchmark expression of Chablis, combining the vintage’s natural generosity with Domaine Raveneau’s hallmark precision and mineral drive. Though it is the domaine’s entry-level Chablis, it already shows the restraint, depth, and age-worthiness that have made Raveneau one of the most respected names in Burgundy.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a pale, luminous straw colour typical of Chardonnay from Chablis. The nose is refined and layered, with notes of lemon oil, white peach, wet stone, and a delicate floral lift. On the palate, the wine is focused and well balanced, with a subtle mid-palate richness framed by tense acidity and a distinctly saline, mineral finish. The 2015 vintage gives it a touch more ripeness and generosity than cooler years, while still preserving the linear structure that defines great Chablis. It has excellent aging potential and will continue to gain complexity over time.

Viininvalmistus
The wine comes from Chablis in northern Burgundy, where cool climates and Kimmeridgian limestone soils give Chardonnay its classic tension, salinity, and minerality. Domaine Raveneau is known for working with exceptional vineyard sites and for producing wines with a strong sense of place. Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an elegant partner for oysters, shellfish, sashimi, white fish, grilled sole, and poultry in light cream or butter sauces. It also works beautifully with goat cheese and other fresh, tangy cheeses. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short aeration can help the wine open up if it is still youthful.
