In the glass, the wine shows a deep garnet-purple color that hints at its richness and depth. The nose is initially reserved, then gradually opens to layers of earthy forest floor, truffle, crushed stone, and pencil lead, followed by kirsch, black raspberry, blackberry compote, and black cherry, lifted by notes of lavender, cedar, and wild sage. The palate is full-bodied and impressively structured, with super-ripe, grainy tannins and a seamless line of freshness that keeps the wine focused and refined. The finish is long and multifaceted, carrying mineral nuances and a beautiful floral perfume.
