Scarzello Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 is a выразive yet approachable take on one of Piedmont’s most celebrated grapes, made to show the house style in its most immediate and refined form. Crafted with long maceration, gentle extraction and ageing in wooden casks, it offers a balanced expression of Nebbiolo that is both polished and true to tradition. It reflects the producer’s commitment to making a wine for everyday enjoyment without losing the character and elegance that define the region.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Langhe Nebbiolo typically shows a bright ruby hue with the transparent, luminous edge so characteristic of the variety. The nose is likely to be fragrant and lifted, with notes of red cherry, wild berry, rose petal, spice and a subtle earthy undertone. On the palate, expect a wine that is fine-boned and lively, with fresh acidity, firm but well-managed tannins, and a savoury finish that gives the wine shape and energy. While it can be enjoyed young for its freshness and clarity, it should also reward a short period of cellaring over the next few years as the tannins soften and the aromatics become more layered.

Produced in Piedmont from Nebbiolo grapes, this wine is shaped by the region’s cool continental climate and soils that help Nebbiolo retain its aromatic precision and natural structure. The wine is made with long maceration and delicate extraction to preserve finesse rather than power, followed by ageing in wooden barrels to add texture and complexity without overshadowing the grape’s character.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a versatile red that pairs beautifully with antipasti, mushroom dishes, roasted poultry, veal, braised meats and hard cheeses such as aged Pecorino or Parmigiano Reggiano. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider a short decant of 20–30 minutes if drinking it young, especially to help the aromatics open up.
