Screaming Eagle Second Flight 2019 is a rare and highly sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon from one of California’s most iconic names. Crafted from carefully selected fruit around the estate, it captures the elegance, depth, and precision that have made Screaming Eagle a benchmark for luxury Napa Valley wine.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color that hints at its concentration and finesse. The nose is layered with blackcurrant, blueberry, subtle spice, toasted oak, and a touch of chocolate, creating a richly aromatic and inviting profile. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet beautifully balanced, with polished tannins and a silky texture that carry flavors of black cherry, licorice, and a hint of graphite. Bright, well-integrated acidity gives the wine lift and a long, persistent finish. While already impressive, it has the structure to develop further with cellaring over the coming years.

Viininvalmistus
The fruit for Second Flight is hand-harvested from vineyards surrounding Screaming Eagle, with only the best grapes selected for this limited bottling. Fermentation is carried out at controlled temperatures to preserve purity of fruit, followed by extended aging in French oak barrels, which adds depth, roundness, and complexity while maintaining the wine’s refined structure.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with classic premium dishes such as grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, venison, or roast lamb, as well as truffle-infused mushroom dishes and aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for 1–2 hours to allow the wine to fully open and reveal its layered aromatics.
