Tenuta San Guido’s Sassicaia is one of Italy’s most iconic wines, a benchmark blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from the Bolgheri coast in Tuscany. Renowned for its remarkable depth, refinement, and longevity, it has earned legendary status as one of the wines that helped define the modern era of Italian fine wine.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, Sassicaia 2020 shows a saturated red-purple hue with an almost bluish edge, hinting at its youthful power and concentration. The nose opens with deep aromas of ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, tobacco, and subtle toasted oak, all woven together with impressive precision and elegance. The palate is dense and tightly structured, delivering cool, dark berry fruit with layered concentration and beautifully polished tannins. Despite its richness, the wine retains fresh acidity and a composed, linear energy that promises excellent aging potential; while it can be enjoyed young, it is expected to reach its true peak after around 10 years and can develop gracefully for decades.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Sassicaia is a natural match for fine cuts of beef, lamb, venison, truffle dishes, and richly flavored mushroom-based cuisine. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if opened young to allow the wine to fully раскры its aromatic complexity and structure.
