Zorzettig Myo Schioppettino 2019 is a compelling expression of one of Friuli-Venezia Giulia’s most distinctive native red grapes. In the glass, this wine typically shows a deep ruby color with a lively edge. The nose is often marked by notes of black pepper, wild berries, violet, and subtle herbal nuances, giving it a lifted and highly aromatic profile. On the palate, Schioppettino is usually medium-bodied and precise, with fresh acidity, fine tannins, and a spicy, savory finish. The fruit is often red- and black-berry driven, supported by peppery complexity and a clean, persistent structure. It can age gracefully over the next several years, developing more depth and earthy nuance with time.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent match for roasted poultry, grilled lamb, mushroom-based dishes, aged cheeses, or Friulian charcuterie. Serve at around 16–18°C for the best expression of its aromatics and structure. Decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended if the wine is youthful, as it can help open up its peppery bouquet and soften the tannins.
