Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a deep, dark color that hints at its concentration and intensity. The nose opens with layers of blackberry, blue plum, dried herbs, and graphite, creating a complex and inviting aromatic profile. On the palate, it is dense and concentrated, yet lifted by a fresh core and firm structure. The tannins are ripe and well integrated, supporting a long, mineral finish that lingers with both depth and precision. Built for development, this is a wine that can be enjoyed now but will reward cellaring over the coming years.

Viininvalmistus
The fruit for As Olgas Tinto comes from very old vines planted in the higher areas of the Douro, where mixed field blends include local varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca, alongside Touriga Franca. The vineyards reflect the rugged terroir of the region, with poor soils and elevation contributing to freshness, concentration, and natural complexity. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts, and the wine is then aged in French oak barrels, some of them new, to add depth and support its ageing potential.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with rich, flavourful dishes such as slow-cooked lamb, roasted beef, game, or mushroom-based recipes with earthy depth. It also works well with mature hard cheeses and Portuguese cuisine featuring braised meats or spices. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for at least an hour is recommended, especially if opening in its youth.
