Pietradolce Etna Rosso is a vivid expression of Sicily’s volcanic landscape, crafted from 100% Nerello Mascalese on the slopes of Mount Etna. Known for its elegance, finesse, and striking sense of place, this is a wine that shows how powerful terroir can be when handled with restraint and precision. With its roots in one of Italy’s most distinctive wine regions, it offers a modern take on a historic Etna style.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a transparent, very pale ruby-red color, hinting at its lifted, elegant character. The nose is expressive and refined, with aromas of pomegranate, iris, and pink pepper, framed by a subtle volcanic edge that adds complexity. On the palate, it is distinctly fruity with a tannic texture that becomes more noticeable on the finish, alongside a warm aftertaste that gives the wine a lingering, inviting close. While already appealing in youth, its structure suggests it may gain additional nuance with short-term cellaring.

Viininvalmistus
This Etna Rosso is made entirely from Nerello Mascalese, sourced from the volcanic soils of Sicily’s Mount Etna, where altitude, mineral-rich terrain, and a cooling mountain climate help preserve freshness and aromatic precision. The grapes undergo 18 days of skin maceration to extract color, texture, and complexity, followed by 3 months of aging in fine-grained, lightly toasted French oak barrels. The result is a wine that balances purity of fruit with subtle oak influence and a clear reflection of its volcanic origin.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best enjoyed slightly cool, around 16–18°C, this wine pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, roast poultry, mushroom risotto, aubergine dishes, and Sicilian-inspired cuisine such as pasta with tomato, herbs, and cured meats. Decanting is not essential, but a short decant can help open the aromas if served young.
