Weingut Hiedler Pinot Noir G-Stück 2022 is a distinctive Austrian Pinot Noir crafted with a deep respect for centuries-old winemaking traditions. Sourced from a special clone in Käferberg and made using whole-cluster fermentation, it combines historical technique with precision, elegance, and notable depth.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a deep ruby-red colour that hints at its concentration and structure. The nose is layered and expressive, offering ripe red berries, gentle spice, and a subtle floral lift. On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, yet refined, with silky tannins and bright, fresh acidity that keeps the wine poised and elegant. The finish is long and graceful, and the wine has clear ageing potential, with the structure to develop further complexity over time.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Käferberg, where the vines grow in a varied terroir of clay, marl, loess, rare gravel layers, and crystalline rock. The fruit is selectively hand-harvested, then naturally fermented slowly and gently with whole bunches, including the stems, in a method inspired by ancient winemaking practices. After the initial fermentation, the must is pressed from the intact berries and completes fermentation in small oak barrels, giving the wine finesse, texture, and added complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted duck, mushroom dishes, game birds, veal, or earthy vegetarian plates such as lentil dishes and truffle risotto. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting is recommended if you want to open up the wine’s aromatic layers and soften its structure, especially in its youth.
