Weingut Hiedler’s Ried Kittmannsberg 1 ÖWT Reserve Grüner Veltliner 2023 comes from one of the estate’s finest sites, perched at 365 meters above sea level in Niederösterreich. The cool mountain air and limestone-rich soils give the wine its precision, mineral drive, and layered complexity, while careful organic cultivation and aging in acacia wood add an especially polished, textural style.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this is a refined and expressive Grüner Veltliner with a bright, elegant presence. The nose opens with mirabelle plum, ripe pear, pineapple, peach, herbs, honey, and the classic peppery lift that defines the grape. On the palate, it combines mineral tension with yellow fruit and subtle tropical notes, all carried by a silky, rounded texture and impressive balance. The finish is long and energetic, with enough depth to drink beautifully now, while also offering the structure to develop further over the coming years.

Viininvalmistus
Ried Kittmannsberg is a high-altitude vineyard site with cool exposure and limestone-influenced soils, creating ideal conditions for a fresh yet concentrated Grüner Veltliner. The fruit is grown according to organic principles and harvested with care to preserve purity and site expression. For vinification, Kellermeister Ludwig Hiedler matures the wine in acacia barrels, a choice that supports finesse and texture without overpowering the wine’s natural minerality.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs wonderfully with roast poultry, veal, shellfish, Asian dishes with a gentle spice, asparagus, and creamy vegetable preparations. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C to let the aromatic depth and mineral character shine. Decanting is not essential, but a short period in the glass or a brief decant can help open the wine if enjoyed young.
