Adelina Polish Hill Riesling 2022

Adelina Polish Hill Riesling 2022 is the driest and most mineral-driven Riesling in Adelina’s lineup, showcasing the precision and energy that have made Polish Hill and nearby Clare Valley sites so revered. Crafted from fruit sourced by winemaker Colin McBryde, it draws character from old vines rooted in sandy, limestone-rich soils, giving the wine its striking tension, purity, and distinctive saline-mineral edge.

Makuprofiili
Pale and delicate in the glass, this Riesling opens with lifted aromas of green apple, elderflower, fennel, lime, and a subtle flinty note. The bouquet is fresh and detailed, setting the stage for a wine that feels intensely focused from the first sniff. On the palate, it is bone-dry yet remarkably expressive, with piercing acidity driving a beautifully structured, linear profile. The citrus and green orchard fruit notes are framed by a mineral core and a clean, mouth-watering finish. With just under 11% alcohol and plenty of underlying structure, this is already compelling to drink now, but it also has excellent aging potential and should evolve beautifully over time.

Viininvalmistus
The fruit comes from Hill River Estate in the Polish Hill area, where more than 20-year-old vines are deeply rooted in sandy, calcareous soils that help shape the wine’s mineral backbone and freshness. All clusters are de-stemmed before crushing and pressing, a method that supports clean, precise extraction and preserves the wine’s taut, pure expression.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Riesling is a natural partner for seafood, especially oysters, grilled prawns, shellfish, sashimi, or simply prepared white fish. It should be served well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and does not require decanting.
