Domaine Armand Rousseau Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers 2012 is a beautiful expression of one of Gevrey-Chambertin’s most respected premier cru sites. Coming from a high-lying vineyard known for structure, depth, and nuance, it combines power with remarkable finesse. The 2012 vintage adds extra appeal, offering a wine of impressive quality from a challenging year that favoured low yields and concentration.

In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a deep, alluring colour that hints at its intensity and focus. The nose is layered and aromatic, with dark berries such as blackcurrant and blackberry supported by spice, liquorice, and subtle forest-floor notes. On the palate, the wine is elegant yet firmly built, with juicy fruit, polished tannins, and vibrant acidity giving it freshness as well as depth. The mineral character typical of Les Cazetiers adds definition and complexity to the finish. It is drinking well now, but will continue to develop beautifully over the next several years, gaining even more nuance and harmony with age.
