In the glass, it shows a deep ruby hue that hints at its concentration and intensity. The bouquet is expressive and layered, with dark cherry, blackcurrant, spice, forest floor, liquorice, and a subtle floral lift unfolding over time. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and structured, with firm but polished tannins and a vibrant line of acidity that keeps the rich fruit in balance. The finish is long, focused, and mineral-driven, echoing spice and earth. While already impressive, this wine has excellent aging potential and should develop beautifully over many years, gaining complexity with notes of leather, truffle, and more pronounced sous-bois character.

Best served at around 16–18°C, this wine pairs beautifully with dishes that can match its depth and structure, such as roast duck, venison, beef fillet, mushroom risotto, or lamb with herbs. Decanting for an hour or two is recommended if opening young, as it will help the aromas broaden and soften the tannins.
