Bodegas Cepa 21 2022 is the estate’s signature Tempranillo, crafted for wine lovers who enjoy generous fruit, polished structure, and a distinctly modern expression of Ribera del Duero. Grown at altitude on the high plains of Castilla y León, it combines ripe concentration with elegance, offering a style that feels both powerful and refined.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, Cepa 21 2022 shows a deep ruby color with violet highlights. The nose is expressive and layered, with blackcurrant, blackberry, warm tobacco, vanilla, and subtle toasted oak notes. On the palate, it is juicy and full-bodied, with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and a creamy texture that gives the wine a smooth, confident shape. The finish lingers with dark chocolate and a faint balsamic edge, while the fruit remains fresh and focused. This is a wine with the structure to age well over the medium term, gaining extra complexity as its oak, spice, and dark fruit notes integrate further in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
The Tempranillo grapes come from vineyards in Castrillo de Duero and nearby sites at 750–850 meters above sea level, where limestone and clay soils help produce concentrated, precise fruit. The cooler high-altitude conditions support freshness and aromatic lift, while hand harvesting and sorting at the winery ensure only the best fruit is used. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks over around 18 days, followed by malolactic fermentation and 12 months of maturation in French oak barrels, mainly new, with minimal filtration and no fining to preserve texture and terroir expression.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve this wine with roasted lamb, grilled beef, Iberian pork, or rich mushroom dishes. It also pairs well with aged Manchego, beef stew, and hearty tapas. Best served at 16–18°C, and decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended if you want to soften the tannins and bring out the wine’s full aromatic depth.
