Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse De Lalande 1988

Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 1988 is a refined and beautifully structured Pauillac from one of Bordeaux’s most admired estates. In the glass, the wine shows a deep brick-red color with clear signs of maturity. The nose is layered and expressive, unfolding notes of blackcurrant, dried fruit, cedar, tobacco, leather, and a subtle mineral edge. The palate is balanced and graceful, with mature tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, elegant finish. Secondary and tertiary aromas of forest floor, truffle, and earthy complexity come through clearly, reflecting a wine that is at peak maturity or just past its ideal drinking window, though well-stored bottles can still offer impressive harmony and nuance.
