Domaine Chanzy Santenay 1er Cru Beaurepaire 2022 is a beautifully classic Burgundy Pinot Noir from one of Santenay’s most prized premier cru sites. Grown on a high, limestone-rich hillside near Sous la Roche, it combines freshness, mineral precision, and refined fruit expression in a style that feels both elegant and characterful. The wine reflects the heritage of Burgundy’s terroir-driven winemaking, where site and balance matter as much as ripeness.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a ruby-red color that immediately signals freshness and finesse. The nose is inviting and layered, with aromas of raspberry, strawberry, liquorice, forest floor, cinnamon, and a subtle touch of vanilla from the oak. On the palate, the wine opens with a fresh softness and unfolds with graceful length and precision. The fruit is clear and well-defined, supported by a fine mineral line that speaks to its limestone origins. It is already very enjoyable now, but it also has the structure and balance to develop further with a few more years in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
Beaurepaire is a 1er Cru site in Santenay, positioned on a high slope close to Sous la Roche, where limestone-rich soils help shape the wine’s fine mineral character. The grapes are harvested by hand to preserve quality and selection in the vineyard. Vinification follows Max Blondelle’s signature approach, with 10 months in small French oak barrels followed by 5 months in tank to refine the wine and preserve its freshness.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with roast chicken, duck breast, mushroom risotto, veal, and dishes with earthy or lightly spiced sauces. It is best served slightly cool, around 15–17°C, to show its aromatic detail and elegant structure. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help bring out the wine’s perfume if opened young.
