Domaine Méo-Camuzet Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Murgers 1er Cru 2000 is a beautifully matured Pinot Noir that shows just how gracefully this premier cru can evolve over time. From one of the most respected names in Burgundy, this wine combines refined structure, layered complexity, and the earthy sophistication that defines classic Nuits-Saint-Georges.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it has a garnet hue with brick-toned edges, a clear sign of mature Pinot Noir. The nose is deep and expressive, offering dried cherries, wild strawberries, and ripe plums, followed by forest floor, truffle, leather, dried rose petals, and a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is silky and rounded, with tannins that have softened beautifully and acidity that still brings freshness to the mature fruit. Layers of red berries, mushrooms, undergrowth, tobacco, and mineral elegance lead into a long, complex finish with a gentle spicy edge. It is at a lovely peak now, but can still hold for a few more years under the right conditions.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an ideal match for poultry, pigeon, game birds, or dishes with mushroom-based sauces, where its earthy and savoury character can really shine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant gently if needed, although an older bottle like this should be handled carefully and tasted first to decide whether a short decant is beneficial.
