Marques del Hueco Reserva Cosecha 2012 is a classic Rioja Reserva with the kind of depth and finesse that only comes from time, tradition, and careful cellar work. Made primarily from Tempranillo, with support from Mazuelo and Graciano, it brings together elegance, intensity, and a beautifully polished style rooted in more than a century of family winemaking.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Reserva shows the kind of mature Rioja character that signals both quality and composure. The nose is layered with ripe cherries and plums, lifted by subtle notes of vanilla, spice, and a gentle earthy, terroir-driven edge. The palate is led by generous, mature fruit, followed by nuances of leather, licorice, and oak-derived vanilla. It finishes with a smooth, silky texture and enough structure to continue developing gracefully over the next 15 years or more.

Viininvalmistus
This wine is crafted from 90% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo, and 5% Graciano, all hand-harvested and meticulously sorted before vinification. After fermentation, the wine spends 18 months in oak barrels, a classic Rioja élevage that adds polish, aromatic complexity, and the region’s signature balance of fruit and wood. The result is a Reserva shaped by careful selection, traditional methods, and the long-standing family approach behind the label.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
A natural match for roasted lamb, grilled beef, game, mushroom dishes, and aged Manchego, this wine also works beautifully alongside slow-cooked Mediterranean fare. Serve at 16-18°C for the best expression of its aromas and texture, and consider decanting for 30-60 minutes if drinking it young or to help the bouquet open up fully.
