Mas Doix Les Crestes 2023 is a vibrant introduction to Priorat, showing the region’s unmistakable character in a fresher, more immediately drinkable style. Crafted with Mas Doix’s trademark precision, it balances ripe fruit, slate-driven minerality and graceful structure, offering both charm and a clear sense of place.

In the glass, Les Crestes 2023 presents a bright, expressive ruby tone that hints at its youthful energy. The nose is lifted and inviting, with aromas of red cherries, plums, lavender and rose petals, followed by subtle notes of liquorice, crushed stone and dried thyme. The palate is medium-bodied, smooth and lively, with juicy red fruit at the core and supple tannins that keep the wine beautifully balanced. A fine saline edge and mineral finish bring freshness and definition. While made to be enjoyed young, it has enough structure to develop nicely over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
Les Crestes is made primarily from Garnacha, with Carignan and a touch of Syrah from younger vines planted on the steep llicorella slate soils around Poboleda in Priorat, Catalonia. The low-yielding vineyards and careful hand work reflect the demanding terrain, while the winery uses temperature-controlled fermentation with gentle extraction, followed by 8–10 months of ageing in French oak, only a small portion of which is new, to preserve purity of fruit and energy.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a versatile food wine that works well with grilled lamb, roast duck, herb-roasted poultry, mushroom dishes, and Mediterranean cuisine with rosemary or thyme. Serve it slightly cool at around 16–18°C, and decanting is optional but can help open up the aromas if served soon after opening.
