Prinz Salm Dalberger Ritterhölle Riesling trocken VDP. Erste Lage 2021 is a precise, finely etched dry Riesling that captures the power and elegance of the Nahe in one glass. From a historic Erste Lage site in Wallhausen, it reflects the estate’s ability to express terroir with clarity, restraint, and real depth.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Riesling shows a bright, pale straw color with a vivid, crystalline edge. The nose opens with lime, green peach, white flowers, and a hint of flint, giving it both freshness and a subtle mineral complexity. The palate is dry, focused, and tightly structured, with sharp citrus, juicy acidity, and a salty mineral line that keeps the wine energetic and refined. Despite its firm, linear style, it already offers plenty of charm, and it has the concentration and balance to evolve beautifully over time.

Viininvalmistus
Dalberger Ritterhölle comes from steep southeast-facing slopes around Wallhausen, where red slate and quartz soils help shape a Riesling of depth, tension, and mineral precision. The grapes are harvested with care and the wine is spontaneously fermented, then aged in stainless steel with extended lees contact to preserve purity while adding texture and structure.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This dry Riesling is a natural match for oysters, shellfish, sushi, grilled white fish, asparagus, and dishes with light citrus or herbal seasoning. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary, but a short airing can help the wine open up if enjoyed young.
