R. López de Heredia Viña Bosconia Tinto Gran Reserva 2004 is a beautifully traditional Rioja, crafted by one of Spain’s most revered historic producers. Made from a classic blend dominated by Tempranillo, with Garnacha, Graciano, and Mazuelo adding depth and lift, this Gran Reserva reflects the patience and old-world precision that have long defined López de Heredia’s wines.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby hue with the graceful maturity expected from a long-aged Gran Reserva. The nose is layered and refined, offering ripe red and black fruits alongside leather, tobacco, spice, and a subtle earthy note that speaks to its age and Rioja heritage. The palate is elegant and well structured, with silky tannins, bright acidity, and flavours of berries, dried fruit, sweet spice, and a gentle hint of vanilla from oak ageing. The finish is long and composed, and while it is very rewarding now, it still has the structure to continue developing beautifully in bottle for years to come.

Viininvalmistus
Viña Bosconia comes from Rioja, where López de Heredia is known for working in a highly traditional style that favours slow maturation and careful ageing. This wine spends at least ten years in total maturation, including around five years in old American oak barrels followed by further time in bottle before release, allowing the wine to evolve with remarkable finesse and complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Gran Reserva is an excellent match for lamb, game, grilled meats, and aged cheeses, where its savoury depth and polished tannins can really shine. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and decanting is recommended, especially if opened young or if you want the aromas to fully open after time in bottle.
