Sourced from a south-facing slope with a limestone-rich soil profile and a thin top layer of clay and loam, it offers a distinctly Burgundian elegance, combining precision, depth, and remarkable value for a wine of this level.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a beautiful ruby-red colour that hints at its finesse and vitality. The nose opens with wild berries, juniper, tobacco, pepper, and forest floor, creating an aromatic profile that is both layered and inviting. On the palate, the wine is fresh, focused, and beautifully balanced, with silky fruit, refined minerality, and tannins that integrate seamlessly into the structure. The finish is long and graceful, and while it is already impressive, the wine has the concentration and architecture to develop further with time in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
The Sankt Paul vineyard sits on a south-facing slope in the Pfalz, where limestone dominates the subsoil and a thin layer of clay and loam adds subtle richness and complexity. The vines are carefully tended throughout the growing season, and the grapes are harvested and sorted by hand to ensure only the best fruit makes the final wine. After fermentation, the wine is matured for 18 months in small French oak barrels, allowing it to gain structure, nuance, and additional complexity without overshadowing the purity of the Pinot Noir fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir is a natural match for roasted duck, quail, game birds, wild mushrooms, and pork dishes with earthy or herbal elements. It also works beautifully with truffle risotto or aged, semi-hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if drinking young to let the aromatics fully open.
