The vineyard’s extreme slope still demands manual work, preserving a classic Mosel approach that has shaped the region’s finest Rieslings for generations.

In the glass, this dry Riesling shows a bright, expressive profile with citrus-driven freshness and a finely etched mineral edge. The nose opens with pear, orange, and lively citrus notes, lifted by a subtle stony character that adds depth and clarity. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet elegant, with fruit that unfolds gracefully around a crisp mineral core. The balance of intensity and finesse gives it excellent food-wine versatility, while its structure and freshness suggest solid aging potential, during which the fruit will continue to develop while the mineral character becomes even more pronounced.

Viininvalmistus
The Zellerberg vineyard in Mosel benefits from a southwest exposure and a subsoil rich in slate and iron, creating ideal conditions for Riesling to ripen with freshness, aromatic precision, and mineral complexity. Because of the steep incline, the vineyard must be cultivated and harvested entirely by hand, following a labor-intensive method that mirrors traditional viticulture from a century ago. The result is a wine shaped by meticulous vineyard work and a terroir that lends both tension and depth.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Riesling is an excellent match for flavorful dishes, especially spicy cuisine from around the world, where its acidity and mineral backbone can keep pace with bold seasonings. It also works beautifully with seafood, Asian dishes, and lightly spiced poultry. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short period in the glass will help the aromatics open fully.
