Aalto 2023 500CL

Aalto 2023 is a compelling expression of Ribera del Duero, showing just how much depth and precision Tempranillo can deliver in the right hands. Produced by Mariano García, one of the region’s most respected winemaking figures, it combines impressive power with remarkable control and freshness. The result is a serious, characterful red with classic Spanish intensity and real finesse.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, Aalto 2023 shows a deep, dark colour that hints at its concentration. The nose is packed with black cherry, plum and blackberry, layered with spice, coffee, liquorice and a discreet touch of oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and generous, but the tannins are beautifully polished, giving the wine a supple, almost silky texture. A cool, vibrant backbone keeps the richness in check, leading to a long, precise and harmoniously balanced finish. This is a wine that already drinks beautifully now, yet has the structure and balance to develop gracefully over the next 8–12 years.

Viininvalmistus
Made from 100% Tinto Fino sourced from old vines aged around 40 to 80 years, Aalto 2023 reflects the character of Ribera del Duero’s demanding high-altitude terroir in Castilla y León. The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo strict selection before vinification. The wine is then aged for approximately 17 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, adding depth, spice and complexity while preserving the freshness and purity of the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Aalto 2023 is an excellent match for grilled lamb, slow-cooked beef, roasted game, mature Manchego and rich dishes with herbs or smoky notes. It should be served at around 16–18°C, and decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended if enjoying it young, to allow the wine to open fully and show its best balance and aromatics.
