Albert Mann’s Alsace Grand Cru Schlossberg Riesling 2018 is a refined expression of one of Alsace’s most celebrated terroirs. Sourced from the granite slopes of the Schlossberg Grand Cru, it combines precision, minerality, and bright Riesling character in a wine that reflects both site and craftsmanship. The Schlossberg was the first officially recognized Grand Cru in Alsace, adding historical weight to its already distinguished reputation.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Riesling typically shows a pale, luminous straw color with green reflections. The nose is lifted and expressive, offering notes of citrus, white flowers, green apple, and wet stone, with a subtle herbal edge that adds complexity. On the palate, it is crisp, focused, and finely textured, with vibrant acidity carrying flavors of lemon zest, pear, and stone fruit across a distinctly mineral backbone. The finish is long and precise, with excellent tension and the structure to age gracefully for many years, developing greater depth and nuance over time.

Viininvalmistus
The Schlossberg Grand Cru lies on steep granite soils that provide excellent drainage and help shape the wine’s pure, mineral-driven profile. The vineyard’s exposed slopes and cool climate promote slow, even ripening, allowing the Riesling to retain freshness and aromatic clarity. Grapes are typically harvested by hand, and vinification is carried out with care to preserve the character of the fruit and the expression of the site, often with gentle pressing and fermentation in neutral vessels.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, grilled white fish, sushi, and elegant poultry dishes, as well as classic Alsatian fare like tarte flambée or choucroute with a lighter touch. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is generally not necessary, though a short period in the glass can help the wine open up and reveal its full aromatic range.
