Alois Lageder Lagrein 2023 is a refined expression of one of Alto Adige’s most characterful native grapes. Produced by one of the region’s most respected estates, it combines the grape’s natural depth and structure with a lifted, elegant style that makes it especially appealing.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Lagrein shows a deep cherry-red colour with ruby reflections. The nose is intense and fruit-forward, offering plums and dark berries, layered with subtle spicy notes and a faint earthy, almost animal nuance that adds complexity. On the palate, it is medium-bodied to full-bodied, fresh and well-balanced, with noticeable tannins and a delicately bitter finish that gives the wine extra grip and character. Its structure suggests good short- to medium-term ageing potential, during which the fruit and spice should integrate even more harmoniously.

Viininvalmistus
Made from 100% Lagrein in Trentino-Alto Adige, this wine reflects the cool Alpine conditions and varied soils that help preserve freshness while supporting the grape’s naturally robust profile. The harvest is typically carried out with care to retain ripe fruit character and balance, followed by vinification aimed at highlighting the variety’s elegance, structure and aromatic depth.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Lagrein pairs beautifully with roasted meats, game, grilled sausages, mushroom dishes and mature cheeses, as well as hearty Alpine-inspired cuisine. Serve it slightly cool, ideally around 16–18°C, and consider brief decanting if opening it young to help the aromas open and soften the tannins.
