Barone Pizzini Franciacorta Bagnadore Pas Dose Riserva 2016 is a refined prestige cuvée from one of Franciacorta’s most respected biodynamic producers. Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this non-dosage Riserva showcases the pure, mineral-driven style that has helped establish Franciacorta as Italy’s answer to top-tier traditional-method sparkling wine.

Makuprofiili
Pale straw in the glass with a fine, persistent mousse, this Riserva opens with lifted aromas of citrus peel, green apple, white flowers, toasted brioche, and subtle almond notes. With air, the bouquet becomes more layered and complex, revealing chalky minerality, gentle spice, and a hint of hazelnut. On the palate, it is crisp, elegant, and precise, with vibrant acidity supporting a concentrated core of orchard fruit, lemon zest, and savory autolytic character. The absence of dosage gives the wine a particularly dry, linear finish, while the extended lees aging adds depth and texture. This is a Franciacorta built for cellaring and will continue to evolve gracefully over the next several years.

Viininvalmistus
The Bagnadore Riserva comes from carefully selected vineyards in Franciacorta, Lombardy, where glacial soils, good drainage, and the moderating influence of nearby Lake Iseo help preserve freshness and finesse in the grapes. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, then vinified using the traditional method, with the wine undergoing a long period of maturation on the lees before disgorgement. As a Pas Dose style, no expedition liqueur is added, allowing the character of the vineyard and the precision of the winemaking to come through unmasked.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with oysters, scallops, sashimi, caviar, and delicate seafood dishes, as well as risotto, white truffle pasta, or roast poultry. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C, and consider a short decant only if the bottle has spent significant time in the cellar and you want to open up the aromatics more quickly.
