Ceritas Marena Chardonnay 2023

Ceritas Marena Chardonnay 2023 is a finely detailed California Chardonnay from a single vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains, grown close to the Pacific coast. Its cool-climate freshness, vivid minerality, and restrained, elegant style set it apart, while the vineyard’s old-world sensibility and careful farming give the wine remarkable precision and purity.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a pale golden hue with subtle green reflections. The nose is graceful and lifted, with aromas of citrus, green apple, white flowers, a saline sea-breeze note, and a faint touch of nuttiness. The palate is driven by bright acidity, clean fruit, and a distinct mineral line that gives the wine a taut, energetic structure. It finishes long and precise, with enough depth to suggest excellent short- to medium-term aging potential, developing additional complexity over a few years in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
Marena comes from a single site in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where Chardonnay vines grow close to the Pacific in cool conditions shaped by sand and marine sediments. The vineyard is farmed without irrigation, encouraging lower yields, deeper root development, and greater concentration in the fruit. The grapes are gently whole-cluster pressed, fermented in neutral French oak, and then aged in stainless steel to preserve freshness, tension, and the clear imprint of its terroir.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with fish, shellfish, light poultry, and vegetable-focused dishes, especially where fresh herbs, citrus, or a touch of butter are involved. Serve it well chilled, around 10–12°C, and there is no need to decant; a brief airing in the glass is enough to let its aromatic detail open up.
