Château Galoupet Rosé 2024

Château Galoupet Rosé 2024 is not your typical Provence rosé. Coming from one of the rare Cru Classé estates in the region, this wine reflects a more ambitious, gastronomic style, with depth, precision, and a sense of place that sets it apart from lighter, simpler rosés. Since LVMH took over the estate, Galoupet has been pushing Provence rosé into a more serious and compelling category.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the 2024 vintage shows an attractive, luminous pale pink hue with impressive concentration. The nose opens with notes of ripe peach, citrus, and wild herbs, followed by a subtle layer of spice and a refined mineral character. On the palate, it is both precise and generous, balancing ripe fruit with a fresh, saline, almost chalky finish that gives the wine structure and length. There is notable texture and complexity here, along with the kind of balance that suggests real aging potential for a rosé.

Viininvalmistus
Château Galoupet lies in Provence, where the Mediterranean climate and mineral-driven soils help shape a rosé that combines ripeness with freshness. The blend of Grenache, Syrah/Shiraz, and Cinsault brings both fruit expression and structure, while careful vineyard work supports precision in the final wine. Partial barrel fermentation and meticulous cellar handling contribute to the wine’s layered, more serious profile.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a rosé that can comfortably move beyond aperitif service and into the dining room. It pairs especially well with grilled shellfish, sea bass, Mediterranean salads, bouillabaisse, lightly spiced poultry, and refined vegetable dishes. Serve chilled at around 8-10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a brief aeration can help if you want to emphasize its aromatic depth.
