Château Suduiraut Sauternes 2010

Château Suduiraut Sauternes 2010 is a beautifully crafted Premier Cru dessert wine from one of the most respected estates in Bordeaux. Located in Preignac, just north of Château d'Yquem, it is prized for its elegance, balance, and remarkable aging potential, all rooted in a long winemaking history dating back to the 16th century.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Sauternes typically shows a deep golden color that will deepen further with age. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of honey, candied citrus, ripe stone fruit, and subtle botrytis complexity. On the palate, it is lush yet refined, balancing rich sweetness with vibrant acidity for freshness and precision. Expect flavors of apricot, peach, marmalade, saffron, and toasted almond, leading to a long, silky finish. While enjoyable now, Château Suduiraut has the structure to age gracefully for decades, developing more amber tones and mahogany-like depth over 20–40 years.

Viininvalmistus
Château Suduiraut’s vineyards lie on outstanding Sauternes terroir in Preignac, benefiting from conditions ideal for noble rot and the production of concentrated sweet wine. The estate spans 200 hectares, with 92 hectares planted to vine, predominantly Sémillon with a smaller portion of Sauvignon Blanc. Grapes are harvested selectively by hand in multiple passes to pick only berries affected by botrytis, and vinification is carried out with great care to preserve finesse, aromatic intensity, and balance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve Château Suduiraut slightly chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, to highlight its freshness and aromatic detail. It pairs wonderfully with blue cheese, foie gras, fruit-based desserts, tarte Tatin, or even simply on its own as a luxurious finish to a meal. Decanting is generally not necessary for a young, expressive Sauternes, but older bottles may benefit from a gentle splash into a decanter shortly before serving.
