Flor de Pingus 2023 is one of the most sought-after expressions from Dominio de Pingus, offering a remarkable glimpse of the estate’s celebrated style at a more approachable level than the flagship Pingus. Made from old-vine Tempranillo grown near the prized Barrosso and San Cristóbal parcels, it combines depth, elegance, and striking mineral freshness. This is a wine that has earned a reputation as one of Ribera del Duero’s great value purchases, with real pedigree behind every bottle.

In the glass, Flor de Pingus 2023 shows a deep, насыщенный ruby-purple hue, hinting at its concentration and youthful energy. The nose opens with ripe plums, violets, wild herbs, and warm spice, layered with subtle oak notes that add sweetness and complexity without overwhelming the fruit. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied, yet finely balanced by a vivid, salty mineral core that keeps the wine fresh and focused. The tannins are polished and well-integrated, allowing the juicy dark fruit, spice, and floral notes to glide through the finish with ease. Viininvalmistus
Flor de Pingus comes from partially leased vineyards located close to the Barrosso and San Cristóbal parcels that also contribute fruit to the iconic Pingus wine. The vines are around 60 years old, with deep-rooted Tempranillo plantings that help preserve mineral character and withstand the dry summer conditions of Castilla y León. Harvesting is carefully done from mature, healthy vineyards, and the winemaking combines lightly crushed grapes with a proportion of whole clusters. Fermentation takes place naturally in 2,000-liter oak vats, followed by 14 months of aging in French oak, including around 30% new barrels as well as barrels previously used for Flor de Pingus and Pingus. The wine is bottled in June without fining or filtration.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Flor de Pingus 2023 pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, grilled ribeye, duck breast, game, and rich mushroom dishes, as well as hard cheeses such as aged Manchego. Serve it at 16–18°C for the best balance of fruit, spice, and structure. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended, especially in its youth, to help the wine open up and show its full aromatic range.
