Kurtatsch Brenntal Gewürztraminer Riserva is a richly expressive white wine from Alto Adige, crafted by the respected Cantina Kurtatsch. Made from 100% Traminer Aromatico and shaped by the region’s high-altitude mountain terroir, it combines aromatic intensity with remarkable structure and precision. Rooted in the long tradition of this cooperative winery, it reflects both the character of the Brenntal site and the enduring pride of South Tyrol winemaking.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a straw-yellow colour with golden reflections, hinting at its concentration and ripeness. The nose is highly aromatic and layered, opening with elderflower, basil, thyme, yellow peach, lychee and quince apple, giving it both floral lift and exotic charm. On the palate, the wine is compact, balanced and impressively mineral, with a vivid aromatic punch that carries through to the finish. Its empyreumatic aftertaste adds an intriguing smoky-spiced dimension, making the wine feel both opulent and disciplined. While already expressive, it also has the structure to age gracefully for a few years, developing deeper honeyed and spicy nuances over time.

Viininvalmistus
Brenntal lies in one of Alto Adige’s most distinctive growing areas, where warm days, cool nights and mineral-rich soils help Gewürztraminer achieve full aromatic ripeness while retaining freshness. Cantina Kurtatsch works with a strong focus on terroir, and this Riserva comes from carefully selected grapes harvested at optimal maturity. Vinification is carried out to preserve the variety’s signature perfume and textural depth, resulting in a wine with concentration, balance and a pronounced sense of place.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Gewürztraminer Riserva pairs beautifully with Asian cuisine, spicy dishes, rich seafood, aromatic poultry preparations and washed-rind or strongly flavoured cheeses. It also works well with foie gras or dishes featuring sweet-and-savoury elements. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short aeration can help release its full aromatic complexity.
