Taylor's Late Bottled Vintage 2020

Taylor’s Late Bottled Vintage 2020 is a refined and expressive Port that combines rich fruit character with the elegance and structure for which Taylor’s is known. Matured in large oak casks, it offers a beautifully balanced style with vibrant berry notes, supple tannins, and a long, polished finish. Taylor’s heritage in Port dates back to 1692, making this bottle part of one of the great historic names in the Douro.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this LBV shows a deep ruby-red color that immediately signals youthful intensity. The nose is inviting and well-defined, with aromas of strawberries and plums layered over a subtle, elegant oak influence. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, yet remarkably smooth, round, and juicy. The fruit profile is generous and balanced by soft tannins, leading to a long and pleasant finish. While beautifully approachable now, it also has the structure to develop further in bottle over the coming years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Taylor’s own estates in the Douro Valley, including Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita, and Quinta do Junco, where the steep slopes and warm, dry climate help produce concentrated fruit of great character. The wine is made in the traditional Port style and then aged in large oak casks, which softens the tannins while preserving freshness and fruit expression. This approach gives the wine both depth and immediate charm.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Port is an excellent match for chocolate desserts and blue cheeses such as Roquefort and Stilton. It also works wonderfully as a contemplative after-dinner drink or simply as a cozy wine to enjoy on its own. Serve slightly below room temperature, ideally around 16–18°C, and decanting is recommended if sediment is present.
