Taylor's Vintage Port 2003

Taylor’s Vintage Port 2003 is a commanding and highly sought-after expression of one of the Douro’s most revered houses. Bottled only in exceptional years, it combines remarkable concentration, structure and finesse, with a style built for long ageing and long-lasting pleasure.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby core with an intense, youthful edge. The nose is layered and expressive, unfolding with dark berry fruit, violets, eucalyptus and hints of liquorice, all carried by a sense of remarkable depth and precision. On the palate, this is a powerful and tightly structured Vintage Port, with rich black fruit, impressive density and a beautifully sustained finish. Its balance of strength and complexity suggests outstanding ageing potential, and it should continue to evolve gracefully for decades.

Viininvalmistus
Taylor’s sources its Vintage Ports from some of the finest vineyard sites in the Douro Valley, where steep terraces, schist soils and hot, dry conditions produce fruit of great concentration and character. The grapes are traditionally harvested by hand, ensuring only the best fruit is selected, before careful vinification and extended maturation are used to preserve intensity, structure and purity of flavour.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve slightly chilled at around 16–18°C in large red wine glasses to allow the aromas to open fully. It is excellent on its own, but also pairs beautifully with rich dark chocolate desserts, blue cheese, or a juicy red pepper steak. Decant before serving to remove sediment and to give the wine space to show its full aromatic complexity.
