Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Vintage Port shows an opaque black-purple core, hinting at its density and youthfulness. The nose is layered and expressive, with black fruits, violets, graphite, molasses, burnt sugar, and warm spice, gradually opening to notes of licorice and dark cherry with air. The palate is full-bodied and immensely concentrated, yet beautifully balanced. Rich flavours of raisins, black cherries, plums, chocolate, kirsch, and cassis unfold across a seamless, powerful structure. Despite its intensity, the wine retains freshness and harmony, promising exceptional aging potential over decades; this is a Port built for long cellar development.

Viininvalmistus
Taylor’s Vintage Port 2003 comes from the Douro Valley, where the estate works with some of its finest vineyard sites, including top-class classified parcels. The region’s steep slopes, schist soils, and hot, dry climate create low yields and highly concentrated fruit, ideal for Vintage Port. Grapes are traditionally harvested by hand, with meticulous selection before vinification in the classic fortified style that preserves purity, structure, and depth.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best enjoyed after dinner, this Port pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, blue cheese, roasted nuts, or a rich dessert such as chocolate tart or cherry-based pastries. It can also stand alone as a contemplative glass on its own. Serve slightly chilled, ideally around 16–18°C, in large red wine glasses, and decant carefully to separate sediment and allow the wine to open fully.
