Makuprofiili
In the glass, the 2017 Vintage Port shows a deep ruby color with a nearly purple rim, hinting at its youth and intensity. The bouquet is rich and layered, with aromas of violets, dark forest berries, eucalyptus and liquorice, unfolding beautifully as the wine opens. On the palate, it is powerful, concentrated and deeply structured, with impressive fruit depth and a long, persistent finish. Despite its immediate appeal, this is a port built for patience, with an ageing potential of 50 to 75 years and the complexity to evolve for decades in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Taylor’s own top-class vineyards in the Douro Valley, including Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita and Quinta do Junco, all classified in the highest Group A category. These sites benefit from distinct microclimates and the rugged schist soils of the region, helping produce ports with both power and nuance. The 2017 Vintage Port was aged for around 20 months in wood and is a field-blend style wine, crafted from carefully selected fruit to preserve intensity, structure and freshness.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Vintage Port can be enjoyed on its own as a contemplative after-dinner wine, but it also pairs beautifully with a rich red pepper steak, hard aged cheeses or dark chocolate desserts. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally in large red wine glasses, at around 16–18°C. Decanting is recommended to separate any sediment and allow the wine to gradually reveal its full aromatic complexity.
