Viininvalmistus
The wine comes from Hinter Seiber in the Wachau, one of Austria’s most celebrated white wine regions, where steep vineyards and mineral-rich soils help shape wines of tension and finesse. What makes this parcel especially unusual is its broad clonal diversity, with vines selected and preserved by Toni Bodenstein himself, creating greater variation in the vineyard and adding complexity to the finished wine. Harvesting is carried out late, with fully ripe grapes selected for the concentration required for Smaragd classification, followed by careful vinification to preserve purity, structure, and site expression.

This is a wine that can handle richly flavoured dishes such as roasted poultry, veal, pork with herbs, or upscale fish preparations with butter and citrus. It also works very well with asparagus, asparagus risotto, and Asian-inspired dishes where spice and freshness need to stay in balance. Serve chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider brief decanting if young to allow the wine’s aromatic complexity and texture to open fully.
