Weingut Prager Riesling Wachau Klaus Smaragd 2024 is a striking expression of one of Austria’s most celebrated vineyard sites. Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Riesling shows a bright, luminous appearance that hints at its freshness and concentration. The nose opens with vivid citrus, ripe peach, and white blossom, lifted by a distinct stony, wet-rock note that speaks to the vineyard’s mineral character. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet finely etched, with marked acidity, deep fruit concentration, and a long, clean finish. The structure and balance give it excellent aging potential, allowing it to develop added complexity and nuance over time.

Viininvalmistus
Ried Klaus is one of Wachau’s most prestigious single vineyards, defined by steep terraces and schist-rich soils that naturally limit yields while enhancing concentration and mineral expression. The grapes are harvested by hand from carefully selected vines, and the resulting wine is vinified to preserve precision, purity, and the layered character typical of top-tier Wachau Riesling. As a Smaragd, it comes from late-harvested fruit with high must weight, producing a wine of notable depth and aging capacity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Riesling is an excellent match for fish, shellfish, light poultry, and Asian dishes with a gentle spice. Serve it well chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short period in the glass can help reveal its full aromatic complexity.
