Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Sergio Zenato 2019 is a powerful and deeply expressive red wine from Veneto, crafted in tribute to one of the region’s most respected traditions. Made from carefully selected Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina, and Oseleta, it combines Amarone’s signature richness with the elegance and structure that define Zenato’s style. This is a wine shaped by patience, family heritage, and a long history of championing native grapes.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red hue with a hint of garnet as it begins to mature. The nose is intense and inviting, with ripe cherry, sour cherry, and dark berry aromas layered with warm spice and subtle dried fruit complexity. On the palate, it is warm, full-bodied, and powerfully structured, with generous fruit concentration and a long, resonant finish. The four years of oak aging add depth and refinement, while the high natural richness gives it excellent aging potential, allowing the wine to evolve beautifully over time.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes are hand-harvested and then dried for around four months in dry, well-ventilated drying rooms, a traditional appassimento method that concentrates flavor and texture. Fermentation proceeds slowly, followed by at least four years of aging in large oak casks and a further year in bottle before release. While specific vineyard parcels are not detailed here, the wine reflects the classic terroir of Valpolicella Classico in Veneto, where local varieties and careful winemaking are central to its identity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Amarone pairs beautifully with rich dishes such as braised beef, venison, game, truffle risotto, mature cheeses, and slow-cooked lamb. Serve it slightly below room temperature, ideally around 16–18°C, to best showcase its structure and aromatics. Decanting for one to two hours is recommended to allow the wine to open fully.
