Kuvaus

Romano Dal Forno’s Amarone della Valpolicella Monte Lodoletta is one of Veneto’s most admired modern interpretations of a classic style. Produced from a carefully selected blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Croatina, and Oseleta, it is known for extraordinary concentration, precision, and depth. This is a landmark Amarone from one of the appellation’s most influential producers, crafted to reward long cellaring and serious attention.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it typically shows a deep, almost opaque garnet color with remarkable density. The nose is intensely layered, offering ripe dark cherry, blackberry, plum, dried fig, cocoa, sweet spice, tobacco, and balsamic nuances, often with a polished hint of roasted coffee and earthy complexity. On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, yet exceptionally refined, balancing opulent fruit with firm structure, vivid acidity, and finely integrated tannins. The finish is long and persistent, with savory undertones and remarkable freshness for such a rich wine. This is a wine built for the long haul and can evolve beautifully for decades under proper cellar conditions.

Viininvalmistus
Monte Lodoletta comes from estate vineyards in the Veneto hills, where the soils and microclimate help produce grapes with intensity, balance, and aromatic complexity. The harvest is typically carried out with meticulous selection, and the fruit is then dried in the traditional appassimento method to concentrate flavor and structure before vinification. Romano Dal Forno is renowned for his precision in the cellar, combining traditional Amarone practices with highly controlled modern techniques to achieve exceptional purity, depth, and consistency.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best enjoyed with rich, flavorful dishes such as braised beef, venison, slow-cooked lamb, wild mushroom risotto, or aged hard cheeses. It also pairs beautifully with hearty Italian cuisine and dishes with depth and umami. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for at least 2 hours to allow the wine to open fully and soften its impressive structure.

Tuottaja
Romano Dal Forno is one of the great names of Valpolicella, widely regarded as a master of modern Amarone. Since establishing his estate in the late 20th century, he has helped redefine what the region can produce, focusing on meticulous vineyard work, low yields, and uncompromising quality. His wines are celebrated internationally for their richness, balance, and longevity, and Monte Lodoletta has become a benchmark for premium Amarone.
