Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine typically shows a transparent ruby-garnet hue, true to the Nebbiolo grape. The nose is layered and elegant, with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, dried rose petals, licorice, tobacco, and subtle earthy spice. On the palate, it is firm yet graceful, with vibrant acidity, polished tannins, and a mineral backbone that carries the finish. Expect a wine that unfolds slowly in the glass, showing both immediate aromatic charm and the structure to develop beautifully over time. With careful cellaring, it should reward aging for many years.

Gallina is one of Barbaresco’s distinguished vineyard sites, known for producing wines with finesse, aromatic complexity, and a refined tannic profile. In Piedmont’s cool continental climate and limestone-rich soils, Nebbiolo ripens slowly, building fragrance and structure. Roagna is known for traditional, restrained winemaking, typically favoring native yeasts, long maceration, and minimal intervention to let the vineyard speak clearly in the finished wine.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Barbaresco pairs beautifully with truffle risotto, tajarin with meat ragù, braised veal, mushroom dishes, and aged hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or Castelmagno. Serve at 16–18°C. Decanting is recommended, especially in its youth, to allow the wine’s perfume and structure to open fully.
