Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows an inky, near-opaque purple hue that hints at its power and concentration. The nose is intensely layered, opening with mulberry, blackberry, and blackcurrant, then unfolding into graphite, scorched earth, burning embers, licorice, and truffle. The palate is lavishly rich yet structured, with massive dark fruit framed by firm tannins and a driving mountain freshness. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot contribute both aromatic complexity and muscular depth, giving the wine a long, resonant finish. This is a wine built for the cellar and is expected to evolve beautifully for 40 to 50 years or more.

Las Posadas comes from Abreu’s Howell Mountain vineyards, located over 600 meters above sea level, where the vines sit above the fog line and are sheltered by pine and fir forests. The soils are notably varied and well suited to viticulture, and only part of the 13-hectare property has been planted to vine so far. The site is farmed with meticulous care, reflecting David Abreu’s highly regarded approach to vineyard management, and the fruit is crafted into a single-vineyard proprietary red blend focused on precision, structure, and site expression.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best served at 16–18°C, this wine benefits from several hours of decanting, especially in its youth, to help the aromatics open and the tannins soften. Pair it with richly flavored dishes such as dry-aged ribeye, braised short ribs, lamb shoulder, venison, or truffle-infused dishes; mature hard cheeses also make an excellent match.
