Even in its youth, this Chardonnay shows remarkable complexity and poise. The wine opens with floral aromas layered with subtle notes of toast and a whisper of menthol, while the palate is full-bodied and powerful, yet beautifully defined by its mineral backbone. The finish is long and generous, marked by delicate amber-like nuances of candied fruit and sweet confectionery tones. With its concentration, structure, and balance, this wine has excellent ageing potential and will continue to gain nuance and depth over time.

Viininvalmistus
Bâtard-Montrachet is one of Burgundy’s most prized Grand Cru vineyards, benefiting from exceptional limestone-rich terroir that gives wines both richness and tension. Albert Bichot works with a minimal-intervention philosophy to preserve the distinctive character of the site, harvesting carefully and vinifying in a way that respects the fruit and the individuality of the appellation. The wine is moved by gravity to the cellars, where it matures in oak for 12 to 18 months. Depending on the vintage, barrels from different origins such as Tronçais and Allier are used, with varying toast levels to add subtle complexity while keeping the oak elegantly integrated.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Grand Cru Chardonnay pairs beautifully with luxurious dishes such as lobster, scallops, roast turbot, creamy poultry preparations, and fine risottos with mushrooms or truffle. It also works well with aged hard cheeses and refined dishes featuring butter or beurre blanc. Serve at 10–12°C, and decanting is recommended if the wine is young to help it खुल more fully in the glass.
