Angeline Pinot Noir 2023 is a charming California red that delivers soft, approachable fruit at an excellent value. Sourced from select cool-climate sites across the state, it shows the elegant, supple style Pinot Noir is loved for, with a balance of freshness, finesse, and subtle oak influence.

In the glass, the wine shows a lively ruby-red color. The nose offers ripe strawberries, cherry, and a delicate floral hint of violet, giving it an inviting and expressive profile. On the palate, it is silky and smooth, with red fruit at the center, followed by gentle notes of vanilla and lightly toasted spice from the oak. The fresh acidity keeps the wine lively and well balanced, while the fine tannins lend structure without weighing it down. It is drinking beautifully now, but should hold its appeal over the next few years as the fruit and spice continue to integrate.

The 2023 vintage draws fruit from cool regions in California, including Mendocino, Monterey, and Santa Barbara, where varied climates and soils add layers of complexity. The extended ripening period helps preserve Pinot Noir’s delicate fruit character while building flavor concentration. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, part of the wine is matured in French oak barrels to soften the tannins and add a gentle touch of spice, resulting in a clean, harmonious style.
