In the glass, the wine shows a deep, luminous ruby hue that hints at its concentration and breadth. The nose opens with layers of black cherry, blackcurrant, licorice, spice, tobacco, and a subtle earthy mineral note that reflects the grandeur of Clos de Bèze. On the palate, it is intense and full-bodied, yet beautifully composed, with velvety texture and finely polished tannins. The ripe fruit is carried by fresh acidity, keeping the wine vibrant and preventing it from feeling heavy. Already impressively charming, this Grand Cru has excellent aging potential and should develop even greater complexity, nuance, and tertiary depth over time.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine deserves dishes that can match its richness and complexity, such as roast duck, beef tenderloin, venison, braised lamb, or mushroom-based dishes with truffle accents. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant gently if drinking young to allow the aromas to unfold and the structure to soften; older bottles may only need a brief decant, or none at all, depending on age and condition.
